There are many beautiful and interesting places to visit outside the Kathmandu valley for one or two days hike program which are full of history and historical remains. Each one remarkable for their beauty and most of them can be easily reached from Kathmandu. Some places are mention under with their specials.

A day trip to Nagarkot: Near about 2000 meters from sea level and located just 32 km northeast of Kathmandu city, is famous for its magnificent view of the Langtang Range. It overlooks the west-east himalayas set against the vastness of the blue sky. The holiday places and one of the most beautiful destination hill resorts station in Kathmandu valley for features attraction ranging from beautiful alpine scenery to the magnificent himalayas panorama, particularly Langtang and Ganesh himal, Dorjee Lakpa and many more with other mountains also can be seen from Nagarkot.

Dhulikhel: This ancient town is situated 30 kms east of Kathmandu on the side of the Arniko Highway (Kathmandu-Tibet) It is a lovely place famous for its scenic beauty and old tradition. From here one has a panoramic view of the snowy ranges from Karyolung in the east to Himalchuli in the west. There is a medieval township, Banepa between Kathmandu-Dhulikhel.

Gundu Danda/Chovar & Godawari also can hike easily one or two days programs.
